Learner Management is Moving to PICSWeb

One of the many improvements offered by PICSWeb is a redesigned learner management system, offering faster and more accessible data entry and processing. If you have not done so already, we recommend that you start getting familiar with the new system, as it will be replacing the learner management in desktop PICS before long.

From June 22nd, hosted PICS customers will not be able to create new Learners using Desktop PICS.

Unsure if you are a hosted PICS customer or not?

• If you access PICS through our hosting portal at hosting.pellcomp.net, then you are a hosted customer.

• If you access PICS through a locally installed copy of the software, then you are not a hosted customer.

Instead, you can use the redesigned learner management functionality in PICSWeb.

We have updated and simplified the learner record in PICSWeb, ensuring clarity and consistency across the different areas of learner data. 

The record is now made up of three main sections:

• Summary - Here you can manage a learner's personal details, as well as their training advisors, work placements, prior qualifications, and more.

• ILR - This section contains the details that will be exported in the ILR form for the learner, such as their learning aims, and funding details.

• Delivery Plan - This section serves as the learner's portfolio, including qualification, assessment, evidence, and review details.

Within each section, tabs allow for quick navigation between different areas.
