Windows 7 No Longer Supported on Skills Hosting

As part of our ongoing commitment to the security of our Hosting environment, we will shortly be withdrawing support for Windows 7, which means that you will no longer be able to launch our desktop applications using this operating system.

This change will take effect from the 11th December, so we recommend that you upgrade, preferably to Windows 10, before this date. Microsoft withdrew support for Windows 7 in January of this year, which makes it vulnerable due to the lack of security updates.

If you are unable to upgrade in time and you have a modern web browser such as Chrome or Edge, you may be able to switch to using PICSWeb instead of PICS, but please be aware that this system is still in active development. If PICSWeb is missing features critical to your business, please email details to support@pellcomp.co.uk so that we can look to prioritise these in our development cycles.
