The EDS Web Service is being removed

The ESFA have issued an Announcement stating that the current Employer Data Service (EDS) web service will be decommissioned from the 1st April. There is currently no plan for a replacement.

From the 1st April, the PICSWeb EDS Integration will no longer function and searches for EDS reference numbers will not be available.

The ESFA has also changed some of the rules for EDS data in the ILR, as publicised in the same Announcement. Most significantly, an organisation in the ILR without an EDS Reference will now only receive a Warning rather than Error message.
