Our latest PICSWeb development cycle has just been released, featuring several new features and improvements. If you want to never miss a PICSWeb update, including smaller changes that do not make it to the blog, make sure to follow our What's New in PICSWeb page.

As per our plan for the Transition to PICSWeb, we now hope that you are using the new system for almost all of your needs. Please do not hesitate to get in touch to discuss any requirements or feedback.

Interactive Reporting for Qualification Achievement Rates (QAR)

We are working on an interactive report offering for various PICSWeb report templates, made up of dashboard-style reports that allow you to update parameters and display options in real-time.

As part of this, we have released an interactive report for Qualification Achievement Rates (QARs). This report allows you to analyse the Overall or Timely achievement by a variety of different factors.

To run the interactive QAR report, you will need to choose either Overall or Timely achievement from the Report Total Type and make sure that the Output Type is set to Interactive.

More explanation of setting up and using the report is available in the help page for the QAR Report.

Merging Organisations and Officers

You are now able to merge any duplicate organisations and officers using the Database Admin Tools menu in both record lists. When you merge, any records linked to the discarded organisation or officer will be transferred over to the kept one.

For instructions on how to use these new tools, take a look at the online help pages for Merging Organisations and Merging Officers.

More Learner Processing Tools

To make it easier to process a learner through their programme, we have added the following actions from different places in the learner record:

  • Change Funding Organisation and/or Group - This action is available from the Learner Summary.

  • End Episode and Aims - This action is available from the Learner ILR.

  • Start End Point Assessment (EPA) - This action is available from the Learner ILR for learners on apprenticeship standards.

Each action will open a form that will allow to you enter the relevant information and view what changes will be made to the learner record.

Reporting on Appointments

We have added Appointments reports for LearnersApplicantsOfficers, and Organisations.

These reports generate a list of PendingCompletedCancelled, or All appointments linked to each record.

Coming Next Week - Individual Learner Funding Details

We have replicated the funding details view for individual learners from desktop PICS. This is made up of two new tabs in the ILR Summary, which will be available in PICSWeb next week:

  • The Actual Funding tab shows the current funding details for the learner according to the most recently run funding calculations.

  • The Projected Funding tab shows predicted funding for the learner according to projected funding calculations.

Each tab shows a summary view of funding and an option to view full Funding Details.
