The release of PICS 15.10.015.03 yesterday included a bug affecting output of Learner Additional details. A fix for this has been uploaded. The version number of the fixed pcAdHoc.exe is PICS 15.10.015.04 (PICS itself remains at 15.10.015.03)
Customers accessing their own or Pellcomp hosted copies of PICS using the Windows 10 Remote Desktop client may be experiencing problems with pop-up windows failing to appear until you click away from PICS and then back again.
The issue originated with Windows 10 – 1803 (April 2018 Update). Earlier this week Microsoft released hotfix KB4284848 which …
“Addresses issues with the Remote Desktop client in which pop-up windows and drop-down menus don’t appear and right-clicking doesn’t work properly. These issues occur when using remote applications.”
More details about the patch and how to aquire it can be found on the Microsoft website
This update includes clearer error messages when users fail to log in to PICS due to having exceeded the number of login attempts or where “Enforce Active Directory logins” is enabled but the username does not have a domain name in it.
The issues experienced in the Pellcomp Skills Hosting environment yesterday, that were resolved by a configuration change, have also been fixed.
A bug was identified in the PICS Achievement Rates reports yesterday afternoon. The 2016 and 2014 calculation methods would fail with the error “Creating a TFISDisadvantagePostcodeUpliftBaseTable1617 with no TableName“. This has been fixed and a new Report Switchboard and Report Scheduler have both been released.
To be eligible to deliver apprenticeship training for apprenticeships that start on 1 May 2017, or after, organisations must be listed on the register of apprenticeship training providers (RoATP). The register of apprenticeship training providers has been reopened for applications until 5pm on Friday, 7th April.
We have released a new version of the ILR Exporter to correct an error when exporting Programme Aims for SFA Traineeship learners. This was incorrectly writing the PriorLearnFundAdj as 0 when it should be null (i.e. 100% of funding).
The error was introduced in the 15.00.003.03 release of the ILR Exporter on Monday 21st November. The new version, 15.00.003.04, corrects this error. We recommend that all users update, and re-export where necessary. No Rule Violation is triggered from this error, but a funding reconciliation would show that there is funding in PICS but not in FIS/PFR.
Please note that as we have only released a fix for the exporter, PICS itself will still show as version 15.00.003.03.
