Employer Incentive payments in Claim History Report

In response to user feedback, we have added the option to view employer incentive payments in the Claim History Report. These will be shown under the code REmpI in the report.


Work on ensuring that our products meet GDPR requirements continues. Learners and Applicants now have additional data capture for allowed and preferred contact methods. We have also ensured that these are fields are included when importing an Applicant to a Learner.

Future work on this includes:

  • Adding or improving contact preference data capture for Organisations and Contacts.
  • Contact preference data capture in the Form Capture App.
  • Ensuring contact preferences are respected.

As of 2018, the LRS are switching across to new webservice URLs to upgrade to the TLS 1.2 protocol, for improved security. This will simply improve security when processing a learner with the LRS or getting the PLR for a learner, without changing functionality.

To ensure that PICS is prepared to handle this transitioning period, a new option is available within PICS Config to toggle between use of the new and old URLs. When switching over it must be noted that a new certificate is not needed, the current certificate will continue to work as it did with the previous URLs.

Over time, this option will be gradually phased into use, important dates to note are:

  • Before 1st May 2018: New LRS URLs option is unchecked by default
  • 1st May 2018: New LRS URLs option becomes opt-out
  • 1st September 2018: Users who have opted out will now be warned that the old URLs will not be available soon, and are advised to switch to the new URLs
  • 1st October 2018: Old URLs will no longer be available, PICS will enforce use of the new URLs, regardless of the setting.

Learner entering of Contact Hours

It is now possible for learners to log their own contact hours directly in to eAssessor. Whenever a learner does so, the main officer of the learner will need to approve the time.
