The latest version of PICS includes improvements to setting End Point Assessment Organisations, permissions for editing learner payment records, trainee categories and more. Find more information in our release blog below or visit the release notes section of our website for a full line by line breakdown of the release.
End Point Assessment Organisations
PICS now integrates with web services that have been recently released by the ESFA, allowing you to pull information about End Point Assessment Organisations into PICS.
A new option has been added to the toolbar within CRM which will pull the information from the ESFA, updating any out of date information.
Once PICS has been updated with information from the ESFA you can use the button located next the EPA Organisation ID when editing an organisation to choose from the list of End Point Assessment Organisations IDs.
Additionally, we have also added the ability to edit the End Point Assessment Organisation ID using eRecruit in the same way as CRM desktop.
Additional Income and Expenses Permissions
We have added new permissions to restrict the ability to Add/Edit/Delete TNP/PMR/Additional Income/Expenditure records in PICS and edit transition payment records in eAdmin. Users’ existing abilities have been preserved.
Trainee Category Filters
In recent weeks we have been working to extend the Learner Category features (previously only available via CRM) across all of PICS. We’ve now added category filters to the client selection screen, which can be found on the More Filters tab – see the screenshot below for where to find them. Selecting one of these values will filter the list to learners with that category set against them.
The category names and the available values can all be customised in PICS CRM via the CRM Options screen. To assign a category value to a learner, the category fields can be found on the PICS Episode tab for ILR learners or the Additional tab for other learners.
Form Capture Manager: Form Being Checked
To help prevent multiple users from attempting to work on the same form at the same time, we have now added the functionality to set a form status to Being Checked within the Form Capture Manager tool. Whilst in this status, only the user who set the status will be able to make further changes to the form, including: approving, rejecting, or end checking.
